Original sketch by ~Azint : [link]
Lineart and Colors by =Zmann966 (Me!)

Special thanks to =trishna87 for giving me the basics of digital art and for a few ideas along the way.

-----------------------

This was a piece of pure impulse, spurred by pure inspiration by ~Azint's sketch. I saw it and knew that I had to try my hand at it. I believe it came out good, if not great.
I started this just as I was finishing up my previous Tali: [link] and have been working on it on and off (mostly off, once I finished coloring it I had to go learn how to shade in the "toon" style, when I was doen with that I spent time on trying to figure out HOW to do the omni-tool)

Photoshop CS2
Just over 4 total hours
Pen Tool, no tablet.

Critiques not only requested but BEGGED!!!
Please Please Please Please, if you know ANYTHING about digital art or toons or anything give me a critique on this. Doesn't have to be long, a few lines would do, just point out what you like or dislike, what you think was done well or could be done better... I need some feedback on this if I'm going to continue trying my hand at digital art (or if it's all bad feedback know when to quit :XD:)

Let's see. Good ol Tali Zorah Al Rayyah Vas Normandy.
That's a mouthful to chew on.

Now let's get to the negatives first. You know I am a proponent of the dodge tool and abuse it... but I like that you didn't follow in my footsteps there. However I feel the metallic objects/areas should have had some shine to them. Like her belt buckle, her hood buckles, etc.
The gradient bg is nice, but it's not an even gradient... it seems to rush from bluish gray to black.
I know the original didn't have the lines for her eyes, but I would have liked to see the helmet be a tad bit more opaque and her eyes being luminescent. Although it could be argued that the angle she is standing at would not have allowed it. I would have also made her cloth texture a bit more darker/deeper...

Now the positives.
Absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE the linework. Your mastery at lineart with the pen tool is impeccable. The flat base colors look great and crisp and just.. perfect. I especially LOVE the omni tool. I could NOT have pulled that off as nicely. I wish it would glow a tad bit more... but it's okay as it is. That's just a personal preference I suppose. Great work on the shading as well .
This is definitely your coloring style.. and not your previous Tali or Moiraine.

Overall babyjaan I love it. I highly approve of this
